What just happened?

Survey scams impersonate well-known brands (AH, IKEA, bol.com, Jumbo) and promise a voucher for answering a few easy questions. The survey is worthless — it exists to make the offer feel legitimate. The real goal is the form after it: mass data-harvesting for resale, identity theft, or follow-up "account verification" fraud. Some variants end with a small "shipping fee" that secretly enrolls you in an expensive recurring subscription.

Red flags:

No legitimate survey asks for mother's maiden name or card number.
Generic "you were selected". Real customer surveys use your account and email history.
Every answer qualifies you. It's not a real survey.
Pre-checked marketing consent. Dark pattern.
Link from social media ad / WhatsApp forward. AH won't run high-value draws via chain messages.

What to do:

Close the tab. Check promotions only via the brand's official site or app.
If you already submitted data: expect follow-up phishing — be extra cautious for weeks.
If you gave card details: block the card with your bank now.
